This year, only just recently, the world suffered a great loss with the death of Steve Jobs, Apple founder and one of the earliest pioneers in personal computing, from pancreatic cancer.
For many, this was an unbelievable tragedy as one of the world’s most gifted minds was cut short, so many possibilities still ahead of him.
This is the tragedy of cancer. It’s a terrible killer that strikes down thousands per year worldwide, cutting short lives with so many possibilities ahead of them, so many dreams lost.
Last year, I was able to raise over $1000 to contribute to my team’s over $3500 raised for research against cancer.
This year, let’s beat that. We want to raise over $5000 at LEAST, in honor of heroes like Steve.
Please visit http://main.acsevents.org/goto/youarenotalone and donate $5, 10, even 20, however much you think you can spare in this battle. Do it for Steve, your aunt, your grandma, your dad, whoever cancer has hurt you through. All funds go to American Cancer Society and go right to work.
Even if you find you don’t have the money to spare, share our message. Reblog this, tweet it, email it, link it to your friends in an IM.
We can win.
iCelebrate. iRemember. iFight Back.
