I finally got to meet a bonafide Doctor in his travels when he happened upon Colin Baker in Cardiff at Wales Comic Con. Of course I had to make sure it was actually him.

“I’m afraid Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart passed away a few months ago,” the nurse tells the Doctor. “It was very peaceful. Talked a lot about you, if that’s any comfort. Always made us pour an extra brandy in case you came round one of these days.”

This was sweet. And it feels appropriate to pay tribute to the Brig in an episode which featured everyone wearing eyepatches.
I cried a bit.
It was absolutely beautiful. And yes, my parents did wonder why I was hyperventilating with brilliance on the couch.
